26-year old Jennifer Abubakar Ekua is the perfect combination of beauty and brains. The successful model has recently been selected to appear as the cover girl of a large publication.
The multilingual native of Durban is about to take on another assignment: motherhood. She is on the verge of wrapping up her final assignment before she goes on temporary retirement to have her eldest child with German husband Thomas Reinhold.
Thomas and Jennifer met in an online chatroom a couple of years ago. He was what she was looking for in a man – kind, thoughtful and extremely talented. They got along pretty well and decided to take their understanding to an entirely new level. Thomas flew out to Jennifer’s hometown for a weekend and their lives changed forever. They realised they cannot be apart and holding back would be a shameless corruption of their devotion to each other. One thing led to another and the rest is history. Jennifer now lives in Germany with Thomas where they are starting their own family.
While taking a break from the limelight, Jennifer Abubakar decided to try her hand in designing. Her clothing line is primarily cut for women of colour who, just like her, are expecting. She wants to share her style that her augmented size will not corrupt. The collection will be launched in spring.
