Professional Contemporary Dance Course Graduation in Bangalore Indiranagar at FLUX
FLUX invites you to witness its upcoming event Professional Contemporary Dance Course Graduation in Bangalore Indiranagar. The event stages a dance theater production titled JUICED. The production is taking place at the Bangalore International Center, Domlur (BIC) on August 5th, 8 pm. The theme of the production is mental health. That is because suicide rates are going higher and higher with every passing day. Moreover, depression and anxiety have assumed an epidemic status. Therefore in such a scenario, this production aims at creating hope and resonance.
FLUX is a community art space offering a range of unique, consciously curated programs in Dance, wellness, theater, healing, photography and art. In fact, FLUX came into existence to fill a gap in the art eco-system in Bangalore – as a space that operates out of compassion, collaboration and accessibility. FLUX Studio creates a safe and a brave space where everyone is welcome to discover the joys of conscious self expression, honest interactions, profound healing along with distinguished training.
JUICED: X Sense Professional Contemporary Dance Course Graduation
Every year FLUX produces a dance theater musical as part of the X SENSE professional contemporary dance course graduation. X SENSE is our 6 month long flagship professional contemporary dance course as well as a dance theater course. This professional course is a certification program for beginners to learn dance and theater and then graduate as professional dancers.
Also, the course culminates with a production based on original narrative taking an important socio-cultural topic. The topic for this year is mental health. “JUICED” is the title of the production. The production is performed by 15 students of the X SENSE program. The same students are also playing the live music in collaboration with a few other musicians. The production is directed by the founder, Sahiba Singh.
JUICED, directed by Sahiba Singh, is a dance theater musical performed by 15 skilled singers, dancers and theater artists from Flux School of Arts, Bangalore. The production focuses on a myriad range of mental health disorders and the space they occupy in our lives today. With live music and stunning dance-theater performances, we look forward to seeing you at the Bangalore International Center on August 5th, Friday, 8 PM.
Sahiba Singh, Founder of FLUX & Director of JUICED
Sahiba Singh, founder of FLUX is a writer, contemporary dancer, theater director and a somatic therapist. FLUX is her vision, to use the wisdom of Art, as a tool to bring personal and social-cultural change. Mental health as a topic is very close to her heart. Hence through this latest production JUICED, her aim is to spread awareness around mental health. In fact she wants to give people hope and resonance. That is why she uses the medium of storytelling, play, music and dance around the anxiety and the sadness that we often find ourselves in. Moreover it has become a crucial problem especially in the post-pandemic times today.
JUICED is being performed at the Bangalore International Center on August 5th, at 8 pm.
